UP 8948 leads the northbound ILDYC (Intermodal, Laredo, TX to Dolton, IL/Yard Center) around the S curve in downtown Austin.
Shortly after this image was taken, the ILDYC became the ZEGYC (Intermodal, Eagle Pass, TX to Dolton, IL/Yard Center).
Last year it became the ZSAYC (Intermodal, San Antonio, TX to Dolton, IL/Yard Center), with separate ILDSA and ZEGSA trains that combine in San Antonio.
As long as I've been alive, UP hasn't been able to keep up with one consistent symbol for their Mexico to Yard Center intermodal service for more than 2-3 years, so i'm sure this is far from the last symbol change we'll see on this service.
