Amtrak train 3, the westbound Southwest Chief, is only a couple of miles out of its next-to-last stop, Fullerton, as it heads for Los Angeles from Chicago. This morning's train has Heritage P42DC 160 (the "Pepsi Can" engine) on the point, along with Phase VII P42DC 138. The sun will be popping over the Santa Ana Mountains any minute now…
