Running several hours late, Amtrak 19, the southbound Crescent, hurries through the s-curves between Alto and Yonah with an increasingly rare pair of Genesis locomotives in Phase V paint for power. Leading is P42DC 77, and 2nd out is P40DC 817, one of two remaining in service at this time. Sadly these polarizing yet iconic units are being quickly phased out by the mechanically plagued Siemens Chargers.
