Remarks & Notes
Passing through the Anaheim Regional Transportation Intermodal Center (serving Amtrak, Metrolink and both long distance and local busses) is Union Pacific local LOA32, known at the Costa Mesa local. This train heads from Anaheim to Santa Ana and back every Monday and Wednesday. UP GP40 1529 (classed as a GP40M-2 on the UP) and GP40-2 1400 have 1 tank car, 5 centerbeam flats and another 3 tank cars in tow.

UP 1529 is the former Southern Pacific GP40M-2 7294 (built on the frame of CSXT 6811), ex-CSXT GP40 6811, ex-Seaboard System GP40 6811, originally Louisville & Nashville GP40 3015. UP 1400 is ex-St. Louis-Southwestern (more commonly known as Cotton Belt) 7645.

Both locomotives are wearing what many have dubbed "Union Pacific's Urban Scheme." (Anaheim, California – December 1, 2025)
