This 2-8-0 steam locomotive, number 187, was built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works for the National Railway of Mexico (NdeM). It had a total engine and tender weight of 192,500 lbs., and a tractive force of 26,600 lbs. It was built in Eddystone, Pennsylvania, where my great, great Uncle Robert F. McKee, Sr., worked as a design engineer at Baldwin. This Baldwin Locomotive Works builders photo card is from the John R. Doughty collection.
