#1080 has been on a whirlwind tour of amazing and unexpected places....according to the internet. Now, it lands here in the underbelly of the Nag, so to speak, crossing the river from NS Simpson Yard to FEC Bowden Yard....for the SECOND time this week.

The D&H heritage on the NS may seem a tad confusing, given CP took over the D&H and continued to operate the ex-D&H until NS took over that main route down thru New York into Pennsylvania. Until that time, CP tried to keep the remaining D&H painted units in that corridor, specifically around Taylor Yard near Scranton. Technically there is still one CP unit still in D&H, but OOS last I heard. Not to mention there is yet another D&H unit now alive and well based in Scranton....
