Blue On The Bridge. NJ Transit Train 43 from Hoboken, New Jersey to Port Jervis, New York was led by New Jersey Transit's Conrail Heritage Unit, GP40PH-2B NJTR 4208 (ex-CR 3191, née-Penn Central 3191, EMD, GP40, 10/1968) on the morning of Monday, August 25, 2025. During the years that the passenger service here was operated by Conrail, the most common motive power was the GE U34CH painted in NJDOT colors. But in that era, freight on the Southern Tier was a common sight, powered by blue and white painted locomotives from EMD and GE that closely resemble this GP40PH-2B. The train is seen crossing Moodna Viaduct in Salisbury Mills, New York, the defining landmark of the Port Jervis Line.
