Rovos Rail are surely a contender for the title of "The Most Luxurious Train in the World". Looking at this view of "the varnish", it is easy to see why.

The 19-coach Cape Town - Pretoria "Pride of Africa" service whispers though the Western Cape wheatlands behind recently repainted Rovos Rail Class 38 Electro-Diesels. These locomotives allow the train to operate throughout the entire length of its journey without motive power changes
