Remarks & Notes
A Line 3 tram heads through the 3rd Century Aurelian Walls by Porta Maggiore, which serves as a hub for the Roman tram system. Porta Maggiore is Italian for Larger Gate, which is an archway built by Emperor Claudius in 52 AD as part of an aqueduct. It was incorporated into a new wall that surrounded Rome in 271.
