Diesel locomotive set 5405D-C-B-A is awaiting a new crew at Missoula, Montana on July 29, 1955. The Northern Pacific unlike most other roads, kept the drawbar coupling between their FT cab and booster pairs. Notice the tight spacing between the 5405D+C and the greater spacing between the booster units 5405B-A.
