To celebrate 150 years of the Nationalbahn, founded in 1875 and bankrupt a few years later already, there was a large railway event held in Etzwilen this day. In the evening shortly before 7 PM, the former SBB diesellocomotive Bm 6/6 # 18511 is crossing the Rhine river on the 254 meter long Hemishofen bridge, built in 1875 for the Nationalbahn, on the way from Singen am Hohentwiel/Germany to Etzwilen, with cars of the VES (Verein zur Erhaltung der Eisenbahnlinie Etzwilen-Singen). The Bm 6/6 locomotives of the SBB were common in the 1960'/1970' on this never electrified former SBB line. The Bm 6/6 # 18511, built in 1961, is now owned and operated by association Rangierlok Schweiz (VRLS) and based in Etzwilen. In the background left is the Hohenklingen castle above Stein am Rhein.
