In 1941 B&M ordered three A-B sets of F2's for passenger service for the lower speed operation in the hilly territory. At the diesel shop in October 1958, idled 4226 A&B now painted in one of the experimental McGinnis paint schemes. This F2 set lasted another eight years before retirement in 1966. The B&M rostered twenty-one of the seventy-six F2's built for the US roads. Photo by Ralph Phillips, from my collection.
