| Winterwonderland Filisur: Ge 4/4 II # 614 of the Rhaetian Railway pulls the PE 925 GLACIER EXPRESS St.Moritz-Zermatt over the 137 meter long and 35 meter high Schmittentobel viaduct between Filisur and Alvaneu. The train only ran from St. Moritz to Chur that day because the Matterhorn-Gotthard Railway line was interrupted at Dieni on the Oberalp Pass. On December 23rd, an Orion train derailed on a switch near Tschamutt, causing no injuries but extensive damage to the infrastructure. |
