On August 2, just before 10 a.m., a catenary fault occurred in the Winterthur Tössmühle area. There was a complete disruption to services between Winterthur and Effretikon until around 1.30 p.m., as well as occasionally between Winterthur and Winterthur Töss. In the afternoon at 2.44 p.m., repair work could be observed in Winterthur Tössmühle, where 3 tracks from Winterthur join to form a double track in the direction of Kemptthal. Here the self propelled catenary installation and repair vehicle "Krani 3" XTms 40 85 9588 343-5 in on duty. The vehicle can moved with low velocity by a remote radio control from the work basquet. At this time, the trains were running here on one track at undiminished speed. The repair work was completed at around 6 PM.
