Remarks & Notes |
Japan was one of the sources for adopting high-speed train technology in China. Kawasaki exported its E2 Series Shinkansen design for developing the CRH2 train. The CRH2A was the first batch of trains with the original design in use. The new standard set by China Railways also applied to the later version of these trains, such as removing the external access of driving cab and relocating the first-class carriage. In 11 years of production, there were 490 sets of CRH2A built. |
