As BNSF Guaranteed Service Intermodal train Q-LPCLAC6-30A heads to Los Angeles from Chicago, Amtrak Pacific Surfliner 564 heads east/south from Los Angeles to Irvine. (Only to Irvine, and not San Diego, as once again the mainline to San Diego is out of service in San Clemente thanks to yet another mudslide.) CDTX SC-44 "Charger" 2118 is, as usual, pulling six cars, and the train is just about in the Fullerton station. (Fullerton, California – February 3, 2024)
