Remarks & Notes

8402 was one of five Alco RS-2's delivered to the CPR in 1949 as part of the dieselization of its lines in Vermont. Twenty years later it is in front of the St. J station. It was scrapped in 1983, after thirty-four years of service. Never equipped with MU it did have a steam generator until conventional passenger trains were replaced with Budd cars.
