Remarks & Notes
The Way To Go To Kingston. On the night of December 15, 2015, PATH PA-1 143 (St Louis Car Company, 1964-1965) was moved from John F. Kennedy Airport in Queens, New York to Fort Lee , New Jersey on its way to the Trolley Museum of New York. The car was caught in the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001, and was 1 of 2 that was saved by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey for possible inclusion in a museum. By this time, it had been decided that including them would be impractical, and this car was donated to TMNY while PA-3 745 (Hawker Siddeley, 1972) was sent to The Shore Line Trolley Museum. Due to the difference in state and local laws, it was only allowed to leave New York City at night, but then had to spend the rest of darkness at the George Washington Bridge Plaza until dawn to make the rest of the trip.
