| Even it appears both trains are heading the same way, but soon the trains will meet in 1/2 mile. This is near Weed on the MRL 3rd Sub. The coal train is working up thru Austin and the many reverse curves the railroad uses to gain elevation towards Mullan Tunnel. The helpers are working downgrade back to Helena. This location is where the MRL added double track to help facilitate meets like this. The tunnel portal is back from the BN days when they bypassed it. |
