The Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Board is the governing body for the Caltrain Peninsula commuter rail transit service between San Francisco, San Jose and Gilroy. Among the railroad equipment they own are two former Southern Pacific bay-window cabooses, used on work trains and, around the holidays, one is used on their Christmas Train. Parked on a spur near their San Francisco station is JPBX 599, the former JPBX 4736, originally SP C-50-9 class 4736, built in 1980 by Pacific Car & Foundry.
