Remarks & Notes

LONGVIEW WA May 24 1984 — Columbia & Cowlitz C-415s CLC 701 and CLC 702 idle at the Weyerhauser facility. Fellow railfan Greg Hall and I headed up to my sister's in Vancouver WA for a week's worth of railfanning. We drove through several feet of snow at the pass east of Pendleton on our way west. On our return trip the snow was gone but we hit really dense fog in the Ogden-Salt Lake City area. Complete overcast greeted us in the Vancouver-Portland area but we had fun nonetheless. This locomotive was recently acquired by the Oklahoma Railway Museum in Oklahoma City. As of 07-2-2023 it is lettered for previous owner Burlington Junction Railway (BUGX 701) and painted red with black trim. My photo.
