Lancaster and Chester 705 was one piece of L&C rolling stock I had never got on digital before. It moved around every so often. but was usually out of view. Then in 2015 it was in the open on a little used spur in East Chester. Initially I was hopeful it might return to service. They do have a customer which requires a long shove, but that is in Lancaster. It turns out the caboose had been sold to a local where it is now stuffed and mounted several miles away.... in the red Southern paint scheme from what I understand.
I have vivid recollections of when the railway still used it and watching it on the end of the train moving u the hill from my grandmother's house in the 70s, maybe into the 80s by a few months or a year. It had a big red circle painted on each ed which I never understood at the time.
