Diesel Locomotive for Electric Boat.
Electric Boat 44-tonner Carol (GE, 1945) née New Haven class DEY-4 no. 0814 (a number still worn on one corner) is seen in the back shops next to New York, New Haven & Hartford Railroad (NH) NE-5 caboose C-627 (Pullman-Standard, 1944). Carol and sister unit Diane, which is also preserved at the museum, served the submarine manufacturer's Groton Shipyard until they were donated in 2005.
