| Southern Railroad of New Jersey's former Bessemer & Lake Erie F7s are getting a thorough washing in preparation for repainting. Eventually 727 would receive a red, white and black livery based on that of the Rock Island. Sitting on the adjacent track at Winslow Jct. is U30B 2876, which still wore Shore Fast Line green and yellow paint. I believe this unit was never repainted. The mismatched number boards date back to Conrail in the 1970s, as this unit was never renumbered. Both F7s would eventually wind up on the Reading & Northern. |
