| CSXT 911, the First Responders unit is shoving hard on one of the few up-grade stretches of mainline east of Clifton Forge. The grade spans most of the famous trestle that covers the Richmond Sky-line, and while it is a steep grade - it's a lot simpler than the original routing the C&O used to come through Richmond. The original routing being a steep, tight route that went through Church Hill Tunnel - which collapsed on a train almost 100 years ago. |
