A Hotel with Heritage: Despite no longer fulfilling its original purpose of serving trains, the venerable DL&W depot in Scranton, Pennsylvania, still maintains a sense of style and panache as a high-end hotel. The main atrium - now a banquet hall and ballroom - looks as good as ever, from the beautiful stained-glass ceilings to the polished marble floors. Although it's certainly a bit on the pricey side, it's hard to beat the 5-minute drive from Steamtown or the front-row seat for D-L Alco action that it offers from the back porch!
