| In 1929, Burlington and Union Pacific announced plans to remodel the Burlington train depot in Omaha. It was completed in 1931 and passenger train travel flourished with several tracks and trains leaving per day. Now, all that is left is the building and a lot of dirt/gravel where those tracks used to be. In this shot, Amtrak 160 leads #6 through Omaha stopping at the much smaller Amtrak depot next to what was once a flourishing depot and quite a sight to see I'm sure. |
