In August 1974, D&H RS-3 4075, recently off lease from the Providence and Worcester, works Kenwood Yard in Albany, New York. With the PAs going to Morrison Knudsen for conversion to PA-4s, the D&H needed additional power with steam generators for the Adirondack, and this locomotive was traded for a steam generator equipped Boston and Maine RS-3 and became Boston and Maine 1547.
