Remarks & Notes
You gotta love the nicknames railroaders come up with. The HHP-8 (High Horse Power, 8000hp) locomotives developed in conjunction with the first generation Acela Express trains quickly became known as hippos due to their aesthetics and proper name. The hippos and toasters were replaced by the Sprinter, making one an unusual sight these days.

Pictures of things often unseen in the world of railroading. Interesting equipment, operations, and people that help the railroad go around.
