Amtrak 406 approaches the US Route 3 crossing just outside of Center Rutland and the Rutland Yard limits as they finish their first roundtrip and prepare to head back north. Amtrak has been running crew qualification runs on the route between Rutland and Burlington to prepare for the Ethan Allen Extension.
