Remarks & Notes 
N&W Class-J No. 611, under PRR catenary and getting underway to Strasburg via the old No. 1 eastbound track, which is now the Strasburg Rail Road's interchange track. NS SD70ACe No. 1206, which had pulled the 611 to Leaman Place waits in the distance. The 611 will be spending the winter in Strasburg, for inspection and maintenance, according to the Virginia Museum of Transportation.

When Norfolk & Western merged with the Southern Railway, two of its locomotives, #611 and #1218, were fired up and used on excursions.
