A Lake State Railway northbound out of Bay City passes a rural crossing north of Pinconning, MI shortly before sunset. I believe this train was headed to Grayling, and this job might have carried the symbol 303 at the time. LSRC 281 wears neatly patched Detroit & Mackinac paint while the smoky 798 is sporting blue & white "corporate" colors. Both units have since been scrapped. The "Alco era" was a great time to visit Lake State territory!
