A MBTA Green Line D Branch train consisting of new CAF "Type 9" LRVs emerges from the Fenway Portal in the Fenway-Kenmore neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts. The famous Boston Citgo or "See it Go" sign can be seen in the background. The Fenway Portal is where D Branch trains transition from the Boylston Street Subway to the former Boston and Albany Railroad Highland Branch which was originally built as a commuter line between 1848 and 1886. The line was converted to light rail by the MBTA in 1959.
The MBTA is very dear to me. The first trains I ever rode as a toddle to teenager were those of the "T" Here is a collection of MBTA Subway and trolley I have found on RP from the 60's thru today.
