Remarks & Notes

A sb CSX train is approaching the Amtrak (ex-L&N) station as it comes down railroad gulch in downtown Birmingham behind a pair of GEs. The C30-7 in the lead was delivered to SCL (in Family Lines livery) in March 1980, with trailing C40-8W 7684 coming along in June 1991. This view was a lot better before the old brick buildings were demolished and replaced with surface parking.
