Behind Union Pacific’s Downing B. Jenks Shop is an outdoor yard with “used” locomotive parts. Components such as fuel tanks, cabs, plows, various hood sections—such as this EMD long hood from some unknown Southern Pacific locomotive as seen on May 18, 2015—all different parts saved to perhaps get reused in a wrecked locomotive repair or overhaul.
