| Just outside of town along the Norfolk Southern AGS South District is Dunn Roadbuilders large Meridian facility. The GP8 was originally a Frisco GP7 built in 1950. Illinois Central Gulf rebuilt the unit into a GP8 in 1975. After rebuilding, this unit worked for Mosaic and Agrico Chemical in the Bone Valley region of Florida before coming to Mississippi. |
