Remarks & Notes

CNW 932 was one of seven U30Cs acquired by C&NW in between multiple orders of SD45s in early 1968. This I believe was the only one painted in the scheme shown. This variation was tried from the late 60s after the CGW merger in 1968, and thankfully was dropped with the acquisition of their first SD40-2s in 1973. In this view it is on an eastbound train waiting for westbound train 483 led by SD45 946 to pass by at Altoona yard.
