| A beautiful 66° Sunday night finds IHB 2924 working Gibson Yard's East End switcher. At 2230 this same night, both 324's crew would die on time, and 2924 would be permanently retired from the railroad. I believe that this very well could have been the last photo taken of the unit in revenue service.
A bittersweet sendoff for sure. |
