Remarks & Notes
The Ogdensburg and Norwood's only engine switches the Penn Central interchange at Norwood, NY. Until going out of business in 1963 the Rutland Railway terminated at Ogdensburg, NY on the St. Lawrence River. The Ogdensburg Bridge and Port Authority purchased the former Rutland right-of-way between Ogdensburg and the New York Central (later Penn Central) interchange at Norwood, 25-miles to the east. The Heidt family ran the railroad as the lessee Ogdensburg & Norwood Railway Co., Inc. from 1967 to 1972.
