Remarks & Notes
Amtrak Train #4, the Southwest Chief is seen accelerating off the high desert and through West Winslow as the sun begins to rise. The phase 1 heritage unit #156 is leading the train. The 12,633 foot San Francisco Mountain can be seen 60 or so miles to the West, partially obscured by lingering wildfire smoke.

A continuously growing album of photos that IMHO reveal the awesome and seldom seen beauty of railroads from the dimming of day to dawn's early light! From dusk to dawn, trains roll on! (I'm still finding sunset to sunrise surprises!)
