| Last day of the 2020 season on the Furka mountain line. The very last passenger train 154 from Oberwald to Realp stopped in Gletsch and the locomotive is taking water. The heavy 0-8-0 T cogwheel steamlocomotive HG 4/4 # 704, built by SLM Winterthur in 1923 for the Chemins de fer de l'Indochine (Indochina railway in the french colonies), was brought back from Vietnam to Switzerland in 1990 and is operational again since 2018, like new or better... |
