NIRC 1, the oldest operating locomotive in revenue service pulls a single electric bi-level by the soon-to-be unmanned BI Tower. The tower itself is rumored to be closing soon, and may be torn down. Another thing that is rumored to be gone soon is NIRC 1, which will be replace by Metra's 2 new GP23Ecos. This has been a rumor for a while, but as of late August, still has yet to be taken out of service.
