Amid the changing colors of autumn in Montana, Burlington Northern Santa Fe intermodal train 1 departs the west end of Havre Yard on October 6, 1996. A quartet of Burlington Northern EMD SD40-2 locomotives power the westbound—Nos. 7844, 7030, 7873 and 7808.
