Remarks & Notes
A shortage of MBTA commuter power in early 1978 led to this combination of a Boston & Maine freight GP9 and a Canadian National steam generator car leading a train of former New Haven coaches on a Framingham-Boston local, seen at the site of the former Riverside station in Newton, MA.
