Knoxville Locomotive Works 1998 is the former CECX 1919, the Cummins Tier 4 compliant QSK95 demonstrator which was rebuilt from a UP SD90MAC-H. The 16 cylinder QSK95 rated at 4,200hp featured SCR exhaust aftertreatment system, all new redesigned cooling system and dynamic brakes. The demo model was a joint venture between Cummins and Sygnet Rail Technologies.
