| A BNSF coal train is climbing the 2.2 percent grade of Montana Rail Link’s route over Mullan Pass on June 30, 2019. The head end is passing the short siding at Skyline, Montana, while the rear DPU is seen in the background on the other side of the large horseshoe curve that crosses Greenhorn Gulch. Not visible and probably just finished crossing Greenhorn Trestle in the horseshoe is a set of four MRL SD70ACe manned helpers cut in the middle of the heavy westbound train. |
