Skirting the Pacific Ocean on May 17, 2018, is an 11 car passenger special, operated by the BNSF Railway for automotive customers. It should be fairly obvious why this was known as the Santa Fe's "Surf Line"! This train, symboled O-LACSDG9-17A, is powered by Et44C4 3962 and originated in Los Angeles, loaded its passengers in Fullerton and is heading for San Diego, roughly 20 miles ahead. The passengers are enjoying a great view of the Pacific Ocean, particularly from the two dome cars.
