Remarks & Notes
What’s better than a Phase III painted unit? Well obviously the answer is two of them! Even better yet, sequentially numbered P32AC-DMs 700 and 701 lead the combined trains of Amtrak 63 (Maple Leaf) and 69 (Adirondack) under the New York Central Railroad searchlight signals (remounted) at CP 114 in Hudson, NY on the morning of July 3, 2019. In order to open a larger window for track work, this arrangement will last weekdays through the end of the summer.

The Adirondack follows both the Hudson and the Lake Champlain shoreline on its leisurely trip between New York and Montreal. When it started, it was pulled by beautiful ALCO PAs purchased by Delaware & Hudson second-hand from the Santa Fe.
