| On display at Clark's Trading Post in North Woodstock, NH. Info borrowed from Clark's website.
"This Shay was built by Lima Locomotive Works at Lima Ohio in Dec 1917 as builder no. 2958. It is a 2 truck 50 ton geared logging locomotive. It was bought new by the Woodstock Lumber Co. at Woodstock, New Hampshire in 1919. It was used as a switcher in their yard. The Woodstock Lumber Co. became the Franconia Paper Co. The Clarks bought the locomotive from the Franconia Paper Co. in 1951-52. The Shay is not currently operational." |
