Meet Texas State Railroad's 1957 EMD F9(A). This is the railroad's newest edition to the fleet and is former Canadian National No. 6521. You may better recall her when she was in a Central of Georgia inspired livery as No. 6308 (seen here) while on the roster at the Georgia Southwestern. That railroad ceased running passenger excursions, though did continue to use the F9 in service. The Texas State Railroad picked her up (and sister unit No. 6302 (seen here)) in the Spring of 2018. Today, she's painted in the Katy inspired colors of their "Texas Special". Sad to see her leave Georgia, paying homage to the CofG, but she looks just as good and at home here in Texas!
